The Pavilion is a substantial building built in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The design of the pool house was to ensure the building nestled in its surroundings with minimal impact environmentally and visually.
This stunning steel-framed building is designed to create open, flowing interior spaces while maintaining a clean, minimalistic aesthetic. Clad in subtle grey Scottish Larch, the exterior reflects a modern yet timeless elegance that complements its natural surroundings.
The flat, wild-meadow green roof paired with expansive glazing allows natural light to flood the interiors, enhancing the building’s organic flow and reinforcing its environmentally conscious design. Every element of the structure is thoughtfully considered, from the materials to the layout, ensuring harmony between architecture and nature.
Inside and out, details tell a story: an industrial Corten steel wall serves as both a striking visual feature and a privacy screen for swimmers, while the stone walls surrounding the bar and outdoor kitchen are crafted from the same locally sourced stone used in the original barn. This thoughtful continuity connects the new design seamlessly to its historic roots.
